Rains..Nature's blessings

As a chennaite, I don't get to enjoy the pleasures of rain often, except for last year when it rained like cats and dogs in chennai. People hardly could believe.. You have to believe that chennaites prayed to stop the rains :-) a very rare occurrence.

Yesterday night, it was raining very heavily outside and i was standing inside the house and watching it. Had it been my hometown , i would have enjoyed the pleasant smell of sand (mannvasanai) during and after rains.. too. Thanks to the City corporation, they have built roads and platform without leaving even a single inch of sand. so no sand smell..

A drop come and hit my face. god i felt like i'm on heaven.. that drop tasted like elixir yaar. .. Given a chance i would definitely gone and played. But couldn't because my mom says i have grown up (????????????) or i'll catch cold ( donno whether can i really hold it).

I was watching the rains and re-living those moments when it used to come inside my house and becomes a pond (more or less like a small beach with tiny little waves) in the roads i travel during childhood... and an excuse to get wet in rains..

The last thought that came to mind before going inside the house is "Thank god the next year also there will not be any water scarcity".. typical chennaite :-).
what to do.. You ought to be here to know it.
